PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Completed Fall 2000

In an attempt to create more than just additional office space for a growing internet banking firm in Austin, Texas, the client wanted a space that would attract young software programmers and yet remain appealing to the sensibilities of the managing board and investors.

Simple forms and bold colors are used as strong unifying elements for the facility. The main conference rooms are distinguished by prominent curving walls with either blue or orange fresco finishes. Prominent views at the end of the main corridors terminate on birch paneled art niches for the display of artwork or sculpture. Overhead, Louis Poulsen lighting fixtures illuminate the multi-colored spaces. Offices and workrooms are located along the perimeter of the building to receive natural light.
